A year ago this October, we opened the doors at 1040 Sterling Ave.
When did Flossmoor Social open?
October 2025, in the space that was Bistro on Sterling. We're a modern American restaurant and cocktail bar, owned and operated by 7th Floor Hospitality Group, with Chef Danny Bullock running the kitchen.
What's changed in a year?
The menu, for one. This fall Chef Danny added Fried Catfish and Grits, a Honey Caribbean Pork Chop, Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and a Spicy Cucumber Tomato Salad. The bar named a cocktail after our address. Brunch at Social found its rhythm on the first Sunday of every month. And Tuesday and Wednesday became martini night and wine night.
What's stayed the same?
The idea. A place downtown Flossmoor could call its own. Somewhere you don't need an occasion to visit, where the bartender remembers your order and the table next to you might be your neighbor.
Speaking of neighbors: two of our nine taps pour beer from Flossmoor Station, right across the street.
